do you really believe that?

Botici... do you believe in that? Really??? :((((
When I got your post, I got really pissed... I was just trying to get some ideas for the discipline of Drawing. I found this website: http://www.artnewsblog.com/2007/09/environmental-art.htm. Now I ask: should this child have not won the contest? Did eveyrbody tell her a big lie?
I can tell you plenty of reasons to contradict what you refer:

1 - Hurricanes and Tornadoes

There have been more and more tornadoes and hurricanes during the last years.... Should I remind you of Katrina?

2 - Flooding

European countries were flooded... This is not normal...

3 - The loss of species

Some species like polar bears or penguins may become extinct...

Othe species are invading other habitats as others die...

4 - Ocean level rising

The oceans re rising... I can see that in my own country. Here most people live on the coast and they have their houses in danger... If there is no place to live in where would you go? This is happening all over the world too... see this video...

Not so warm???

Some scientists claim Earth was warmer during the Medieval Period. However, from what is going on, scientists also say that temperatures are rising faster than ever before. The main causes for this are greenhouse gases. The UK Climate Impacts Programme said that global temperatures were "the hottest since records began", adding: "We are pretty sure that climate change due to human activity is here and it's accelerating."
Harvard University scientists mentioned that today's temperatures are not the warmest in the past millennium. The warmest ones were during the 9th and 14th centuries. Since 1900, the world has begun to warm up again.
According to Professor Stott (University of London), "during the Medieval Warm Period, the world was warmer even than today, and history shows that it was a wonderful period of plenty for everyone." He said that some of the countries, which were doing well on economics, lost their position as top producers in something, like England in the vine industry. In his opinion, that's why there is so much fear of temperatures being warmer...

tribes in Brazil

I have found this article in EuroNews. :)))

With the catastrophe of deforestation will tribes like these disappear in the future?

Do they live in El Dorado (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Dorado)?

http://www.euronews.net/index.php?page=info&article=490498&lng=1&option=1

In my opinion they will disappear and with them their knowledge of nature. I believe they know nature better than us... Some of the tribes even worship nature...

How are they felling like when they are losing their god?

Myanmar

In my opinion the situation in Myanmar is awful. You can see that mankind is beind punished for what it has been doing to the earth. The planet is sick and now human beings became victims of that disease... :( Due to global warming a lot of people died and now are waiting for a rescue that cannot get in the country... poor politicians that do not rule...

Fuel Prices in Portugal

The situation is bad here... In this article http://tsf.sapo.pt/online/economia/interior.asp?id_artigo=TSF189941 it mentions that Portugal is the 5th most expensive country in the European Union in terms of gas.

Can we find an alternative???

Signs of global warming

Here you have some signs of what's going on... :(
Sad, isn't it?

Argentinian Andes

Hi mates!

The scenario is getting worse. If you go to this web address http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1176980,00.html, you will see how bad things are...

There is almost no ice in the Argentinian Andes... Earth is sickening... This is the result of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which stops the heat which flows in from the sun and is raising planet temperatures.

This is really sad...

What can we do to stop this???

Why USA?

Why don't they agree there is a problem???

Economics???

Aren't they losing more time with taking care of people after hurricanes like Katrina?

What is it?
