Not so warm???


Some scientists claim Earth was warmer during the Medieval Period. However, from what is going on, scientists also say that temperatures are rising faster than ever before. The main causes for this are greenhouse gases. The UK Climate Impacts Programme said that global temperatures were "the hottest since records began", adding: "We are pretty sure that climate change due to human activity is here and it's accelerating."
Harvard University scientists mentioned that today's temperatures are not the warmest in the past millennium. The warmest ones were during the 9th and 14th centuries. Since 1900, the world has begun to warm up again.
According to Professor Stott (University of London), "during the Medieval Warm Period, the world was warmer even than today, and history shows that it was a wonderful period of plenty for everyone." He said that some of the countries, which were doing well on economics, lost their position as top producers in something, like England in the vine industry. In his opinion, that's why there is so much fear of temperatures being warmer...
